Panel MooseTM was launched in Feb 2011 by Insightrix Research Inc., a Saskatchewan-based research company. Insightrix, in business since 2001, has offices in Australia and Saskatoon, SK. For more information about our company, visit the company website: www.insightrix.com.
Panel MooseTM is for Canadian residents and businesses only. The panel provides an opportunity for both residents and business people to have their say on a variety of issues that face the province and their local communities.
By joining the panel, you have the ability to influence political, social and consumer decision makers with the thoughts and opinions you provide on surveys. Once you join the panel, you will receive email invitations to online surveys that are applicable to you based on how you answer questions on your Profile Survey.
To ensure adequate representation of our residents throughout the province, including locations in which online access may be an issue, Panel MooseTM also includes those residents who can participate by mail, fax, or telephone. We want to include everyone!
As a thank you for sharing your views with us, Insightrix is please to offer you Reward Points you can redeem for cash. As well, we periodically provide you with a newsletter detailing the results of the studies our panelists have participated in when we are able to do so.
Insightrix Research Inc is a privately held company founded in 2001 by two business researchers: Corrin Harper, MBA and Larry Goodfellow MBA.

Insightrix Research is commissioned to design and oversee research to help our clients learn more about the opinions of Canadian residents. Our clients come from the private and public sectors including government bodies, not-for-profit groups, and private companies.
The research we conduct on Panel MooseTM is used by many of these organizations to inform their decision-making, whether to develop policies, to meet the needs of the consumer, or shed light on the attitudes of the province as a whole to major issues of the day.
Your views will influence decision-makers whether they are developing public policy or developing new products and services for Canadian residents. Your voice will be heard in the media as they report on the changing values and preferences of Canadian residents.
Not only will you be privy to information about emerging trends before they are released, we will provide feedback to you on the results of the research through our newsletters.
Moreover, as a ‘thank you’ for each survey that you take, you will earn Reward Points that can be redeemed for cash. Once you reach 300 Reward Points (or $30.00 cash), you can redeem your points for cash or donate them to a charity of your choice.
To become a member of Panel MooseTM, click on the “Join” button at http://panelmoose.ca and complete the short Profile Survey. The registration process will take about 5-10 minutes to complete.
Once you are a member, you will be invited to surveys by email. Each survey invitation will contain a unique link which you click on, or paste into your browser’s address bar, to access the survey.
Each invitation will state how many Reward Points are available for the survey. Reward Points earned by completing surveys will be added to your account once the survey is closed.
Yes. All Canadian residents, over the age of 18, are eligible to join the panel. For those aged 12-17 that wish to join the panel, you may do so but we recommend you have parental or legal guardian permission to join.
Panel MooseTM members must be willing to be part of a research panel composed of other individuals like you, who are interested in influencing the future of Canada. You must be at least 13 years of age to join. If you are between 13 to 17 years of age, you need to seek parental or legal guardian permission to join. Also, you must not be working in market research or related industries. We also require that our members take part in at least one survey per quarter (three months).
A brief member profile is the only information required for joining the panel. Your member profile will include basic contact information as well as the data we need to build up a picture about you, and to make sure we have a broad spread of the Canadian population on our panel e.g. gender, household income and education.
We gather background information from our members in order to send them invitations to relevant surveys. We may also analyze results by demographic segment (e.g. by age, gender, location, etc.). In all instances, the answers you provide are combined with those of other panelists. We never release personally identifiable information.
Insightrix takes the security of your information seriously. We have implemented physical, electronic and managerial procedures which meet industry standards, in order to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access to, and loss or alteration of, the personal information members provide.
Access to your personal information by Insightrix personnel is limited to select staff.
When you sign in as a member, click the “Edit Profile” tab. Then, fill in the necessary information and once you are finished, your account will be updated automatically.

To move forward, click on the blue right-pointing arrow on the web page. Do not click on the “forward” button in your browser.
If you need to exit the survey before you are finished, please close your browser. To get back into the survey, click again on the link we sent you in the e-mail invitation. It will take you back to the point where you left off.
Sometimes surveys are very short and have just a few questions. Other times, a survey may take several minutes. We will let you know when the questionnaire is completed.
When you have completed the survey, you are all done. Your reward points will be automatically credited to your account. Please allow a few minutes for your account to reflect any updates.
Send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include the name of the survey in the subject line of your email. The survey name can be found on the survey invitation email that you received and/or is the name listed on your ‘Surveys in Progress’ or ‘New Surveys’ list. Once you have located the survey name, describe the problem you encountered. We will respond to your email within one business day, and we’ll do our best to solve the problem for you so that you can finish the survey!
We always try to provide as long as we can for members to answer our surveys. However sometimes we need to gather people’s opinions quite quickly -. For example, when we are asking about a current issue where events may change quickly, or sometimes when our clients need to get a speedy ‘snapshot’ of public opinion.
We will always try to state in out email invitation when a survey will only be open for a short period so that you know to respond quickly, and where we do specify a study closure date we will not close the survey before the given date.
Yes. In the member profile, when you tell us about yourself, your lifestyle and your interests, we will use that information to send you surveys that suit your preferences.
Most of the time panel members are given at least one week to complete a survey. Occasionally, organizations have an urgent need for survey data and so there is a shorter interviewing period. If you try to log on to the survey after the interviewing period is over, then the Survey Closed message will appear. Sorry about that. However, we look forward to your participation in future surveys.
We encourage you to take part in all the surveys to which you are invited. However your participation in surveys is completely voluntary.
Typically you will be invited to between 1 and 4 surveys each month.
In order to be considered an active member of Panel MooseTM we ask that you participate in at least one survey per quarter (three months).
The value of each Reward Points is fixed at $0.10. The minimum amount paid for a survey is 1 points (or $0.10).
Each survey invitation will tell you how many Reward Points you will earn for completing the online survey.
Each Survey will be worth between 1 and 50 Reward Points, depending on the length and urgency of the survey. The longer and/or more urgent the survey, the greater the point value.
If you have been invited to participate in a survey but do not qualify, you will be entered in a monthly draw for $100.00 to be made on the last day of every month!
Login to your account.
Click on the ‘Edit Profile’ button under the Members Only tab or on the members home page.
Select cashout and press ‘Next >>’ on the page and follow the instructions on the page.
Reward point redemptions will be processed at the end of each calendar month, so you will receive your cheque by the middle of the following month in which you requested your payout.
The minimum number of Reward Points needed to redeem for cash is 300 ($30 in value).
Once you redeem your Reward Points for cash we will mail you a cheque from Insightrix Research.
We will transfer the Reward Points donated into the charity’s account. You will receive a tax deductible receipt from the charity for your donation.
Unless stated otherwise in the invite, Reward Points are updated instantly after you complete an online survey. If this is not the case, please wait a few minutes and then refresh the page. Remember, when you decide to cash out your Reward Points, please allow 4-6 weeks for your cheque to arrive, as the point redemption requests are processed once per month at the end of each calendar month. Due to processing and stopping fees there will be a $10.00 charge for replacing any cheque. If you have any questions about your reward points, please email the Panel Manager at email@example.com.
After a survey is launched you will receive an email invitation with instructions on accessing the survey. So if you are not receiving any invitations it may be worth checking that they are not being diverted into your ‘spam’ email folder. To ensure this does not happen, please add firstname.lastname@example.org to your ‘safe list’.
All live surveys to which you are invited are also available in the member portal: login at http://panelmoose.ca and look under the “Survey Waiting” heading.
When there are active surveys for you to participate in you will be contacted by email. A listing of all active surveys that you have been invited to complete is also available on the Member Page under the header “Survey Waiting”. If there are no surveys there, this is because you have already completed them and there are no active surveys currently available.
Click on the Lost Password link and provide the email/username you used to register. An email will be sent to you within a few minutes that will allow you to reset your current password, and then select a new one.
To opt out of the panel, simply send an email to email@example.com which says “Unsubscribe” and you will be removed from the panel and will not receive future survey invitations. You also forfeit any reward points you have earned to date if you choose to unsubscribe.
